Rain of Fire is a fantasy novel set amidst the strife of civil war on the continent of Lemorra. The novel is a companion piece for the Marsona's Story webcomic. It is set approximately 300 years before the comic, and features none of the same characters (unless you count Elerea).

The elven Republic of Lemorra is at peace. It is an insular republic, content to stay in its place and let the world outside pass by unnoticed. That changes one day when the Goddess Elerea appears before a session of the National Assembly and warns the elves of a disaster which will soon occur.

The Goddess has not appeared for hundreds of years, and religion has largely been set aside in the republic. The last time she appeared, however, her warning was ignored and the result was a long and bloody civil war. The elven representatives, ever fractious, split on what to do. Some—soon called Defendists—are in favour of staying put and trying to ride out the disaster in the only home they've ever known. Others—the Disembarkists—want to do what the Goddess suggested and leave Lemorra for safer lands.

The debate grows more and more heated, and the republic spirals down into civil war once again. Will the factions be able to overcome their differences in time to avoid disaster, or will their fighting drag on until the bitter end?

Rain of Fire follows the lives of several of the key players in the war and its outcome. It is published serially, with an update (in theory) of a chapter a week.
